Spring colors. Isn’t it wonderful when you see the first few signs of spring? Temperatures are warming, the grass is starting to green, and we are ready to enjoy the great outdoors. This is our color issue, and Mother Nature is an excellent resource to show the unlimited combination of hues and how they easily coexist to bring a freshness to any environment. Whether the palette is soft and quiet or bold and daring, color is a universal language that has the power to change a room to reflect our personalities.
In this issue, our designers, architects, and landscape architects showcase the power of color to achieve vibrant and sophisticated interiors and exteriors. Designer Marika Meyer incorporated her clients’ fondness for aubergine to create lively interiors for their new home in Bethesda. Art was the driving force for Jamie Merida in designing his personal home. A fashion-forward client engaged Yancey Seibert Shearouse to turn a historic Augusta home into a runway-ready, statement-making home that is both bold and beautiful. Lisa Flake transformed a Mobile home to deliver an interior that is edgy yet classic. Ashley Goforth delivered a livable and luxurious home that embraces color in a Houston home.
